On those bright cold spring days it felt wrong when the trees began to blossom. You can't, it's still winter! Then the warmth spread to the ground and the air was filled with scent. Walking outside was one hit after another, and one morning I was actually dragged to a stop at a tree while walking with my daughter to school. The smell was so strong and sensuous you could feel it on your body. Along with the blossom came the bees and we found that there's a wild hive in the big old tree near our front gate. The sound in the garden is of birds, bees and neighbour's lawn mowers.
