Not
just a bus driver who manoeuvred us safely down narrow lanes and blind
corners on the local roads and free-ways, Goffredo filled in a lot of our local knowledge
(via Carol and Neil's translations). He proudly told us how
he hunted boar and truffles, owned a horse and rode it in tournament
events, and had his poetry published in a local anthology. He also sang us
